As a collective of worship pastors and team members from across their church community, Gateway Worship exists to help people encounter God and experience His presence in worship. You may find it hard to believe that Roosevelt-who stands at a striking 6’8” stature could ever be, “hidden.” Yet the gift of who he is and his heart for the world are testaments of this truth.

From musician, to preaching, to songwriting, producing, musical scoring, composition, or leading worship-Roosevelt is a multi-faceted gift . Raised in Fort Myers, Florida, Roosevelt has always had an affinity for music. Music was a portal he could use to tap into a deeper relationship with self, God, and others. It also was a tool to escape the often inevitable challenges that arise growing up in impoverished inner city environments.

His Mother Joanna was a huge advocate for him to get plugged into the church. She knew that under the leadership of his grandfather and other trusted people submitted to God, they would help steer his life in the right direction. Starting him off playing the drums, and from there, he would add an additional 9 instruments to his skill set.
Roosevelt has never been interested in the spotlight, in fact, his introverted nature is a direct polarity of the explosive experience you have with him as he operates in his God given passions.
